You create. I produce. Photos, videos, websites, and online shops that make your content look as good as the ideas behind it.

About · Monty Pascal
I'm a designer and photographer with a product designer's brain and a photographer's eye. Over fifteen years I've designed for Bay Area startups, artists, and women-owned studios, including early product and brand work at companies like Apple and Instart Logic.
Monty Pascal is the studio I run from home, where I get to do that work the way I like best: closely, personally, and end to end. I lean on modern tools, including AI, to move faster and reach further, but every project is shaped by a human hand and a real point of view.
— Rosha, Los Altos, California
You talk to the person doing the work. No account managers, no handoffs, no telephone game.
Photo, video, brand, website, and shop, produced together so it all feels like one considered whole.
Modern tools and a decade of practice mean quick turnarounds that still feel handmade.
A cohesive brand, a storefront that sells, and photography that does the pieces justice.

From the shoot

A celebrated ceramic artist wanted a digital home to display and sell her distinctive work.
Build a presence that felt as considered as the ceramics themselves: a memorable brand, a shop that was easy to run and easy to buy from, and images that captured the detail and texture of every piece.
A professional, cohesive identity, a noticeable lift in online sales and engagement, and a library of images that keep drawing buyers in.
A quiet portfolio site that lets the work do the talking.

An established artist needed a home for her work online.
I art-directed and designed a restrained portfolio website that puts her drawings first, then photographed both the artist and her installation project so the site had real, original imagery to build on.
A calm, gallery-like site where the art leads and nothing competes with it.
An online shop as vivid as the scarves it sells.

A silk scarf maker in Florence wanted to sell her artful designs online.
I consulted on best practices for selling internationally, then designed and built a Shopify storefront that gives her colorful, hand-painted designs room to shine while keeping the buying experience simple.
A storefront that reflects the artistry of the product and is ready to ship worldwide.
A calm, considered identity for a handmade brand.

A maker of handmade meditation cushions needed a mark as grounded as her craft.
I designed the logo and brand identity, including a soft, stacked motif that echoes a row of cushions, applied to a tactile hang tag that reads "handmade in California."
A warm, minimal identity that feels handmade and intentional, just like the product.
A holistic coaching brand built to grow.

Portraits from the shoot

A practice blending yoga and psychiatry needed a calm, credible website.
I provided guidance on structure and messaging, photographed portraits that set the right tone, and built a Squarespace site that feels as calm and welcoming as the practice itself.
A warm, trustworthy site that helps the right clients feel at ease before they ever book.
